Macon County Family Literacy

Macon County Family Literacy is a program to support families with children birth to age 5.  The families come to school together.  The adults take part in ABE (Adult Basic Education classes in preparation for the GED test) classes while the children are on site in child education classrooms receiving early childhood care and instruction.  Five key components are provided to every family: Adult Education, Early Childhood education, parenting, parent-child interaction and library services. Transportation and Home Visits are provided.

This program takes place at Central Christian Church (650 W. William St.).  For further information email Maria or call 217.422.5249.
