Early Intervention with New Immigrant Populations

This is the 4-day core Baby TALK training for at-risk children and families from ethnically diverse communities, the need for culturally competent early childhood professionals and sensitive interventions is critical.

The training will provide:

• An overview of the Baby TALK model and its use with ethnically diverse families living in the United States
• Strategies for engaging new immigrant families using the model in early childhood programs and home visiting services
• General methods for supporting new immigrant parents around engagement, preparing families around school readiness, and enhancing positive developmental outcomes for children
